Meade County Schools is opening its doors and inviting community members to join us for a Community Walk inside our schools. This is an opportunity to experience a typical school day, see learning in action, and connect with the incredible work happening in our classrooms.
Payneville Elementary– Tuesday, September 22 | 8:30–10:00 AM
Stuart Pepper Middle School – Tuesday, October 20 | 8:30–10:00 AM
There’s no cost to attend, but space is limited because it takes place during the school day. All participants will complete our school visitor process, including a background check, to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
If you’re interested, we’d love to welcome you. Please use the link below to sign up: https://forms.gle/13zxVVXR2FHxUzJk8

Upcoming SPMS dates to remember!

These forms are required for every student and help us:
✅ Continue offering free breakfast and lunch to all students
✅ Provide access to school health services
✅ Make sure your child is included in the yearbook and other school events
✅ Support the programs and services that benefit every student
Thanks for helping us get the year off to a strong start.

Every Meade County student will receive free breakfast and lunch throughout the entire 2026–2027 school year.
Once again, we submitted our application using the important information families provide through beginning-of-year forms, and we have officially been approved for another year. We are excited to provide this benefit to every family while ensuring all students have access to nutritious meals each school day.

🚗💚 SPMS Parents – Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up Information 💚🚗
Please review the Student Drop-Off / Pick-Up diagram below before the first day of school.
📍 Morning Drop-Off
Our doors for car rider students open at 7:20 a.m. each school day.
Please follow the designated traffic pattern shown in the diagram to help ensure a safe and efficient arrival for all students.
📍 Afternoon Pick-Up
For the 2026–2027 school year, vehicles may begin lining up for afternoon car rider pick-up at 2:05 p.m. only.
To help keep traffic flowing safely and avoid congestion on surrounding roads, please do not line up before 2:05 p.m.
Please be patient during the first several days of school, as we expect increased traffic on Old Ekron Road and Howard Drive while everyone becomes familiar with our procedures.
Thank you for helping us provide a safe arrival and dismissal for all of our students. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 5! 🌊💚

Dear Parent/Guardian,
This is a friendly reminder that all end-of-year trip permission forms and payment are due by 7:55 AM this Friday, May 8th.
This deadline is firm, as we must submit final attendance numbers to our trip destinations (Holiday World, Kart Kountry, and Malibu Jacks). Having accurate numbers ahead of time allows us to ensure an efficient arrival process and maximize the amount of time students are able to enjoy their experience at each location.
Quick Reminders:
Please return the completed permission form and admission payment.
Checks should be made payable to Stuart Pepper Middle School.
Forms and money are collected in the commons area.
If your child is not attending, please still return the form indicating that choice.
We are excited to celebrate our Rising Tides Gold, Silver, and Bronze Card students with these end-of-year experiences and appreciate your help in meeting this deadline.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your support,
David Phillips
Principal
Stuart Pepper Middle School

Good afternoon SPMS families,
We will hold the Stuart Pepper Middle School SBDM Council parent election on Monday, May 11th. If you are interested in running for a parent position on the council please email your interest to the SPMS PTO member Rachel Sermonis no later than Monday, May 4th at rachel.sermonis@meade.kyschools.us. Your must have a student that is attending SPMS for the 26-27 school year.
An email will be sent out on Thursday, May 7th advising all families of the candidates. A link will be included in the email that won't open until the day of the election starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. Online voting will require parents to enter their Student's State ID number, found on the Infinite Campus App, to ensure that all counted votes are cast by parents/guardians of 26-27 SPMS students. Parents may also choose to vote in person on May 12th at the main office of SPMS.
Results of that election will be given to the council at their May meeting and each candidate will receive notification of the results.
We appreciate your time and consideration.
