Programs and Services Provided by the Youth Services Center:
Referrals to Health & Social Services: Referrals to various community agencies for health related assistance, 7th Grade Health Fair, Feeding America Backpack Food Assistance Program, Healthy Mind/Healthy Body, collaboration of a variety of community educators to visit 7th & 8th Grade Health classes to enhance curriculum on Nutrition, Hygiene, Sleep Deprivation, peer pressure, and a variety of social and mental health issues.
Career Exploration & Development: “It’s Your Reality,” Junior Achievement INSPIRE Career Fair, After School Career Pathways Classes, 4-H Babysitting Clinic, "Take Your Child to Work" Day, MCHS & Area Technology Center Campus Visits, 8th Grade Power Pact Night
Family Crisis & Mental Health Counseling: Character Education programs, student recognition programs, referrals to in-school counseling services, and referrals to community resources.
Substance Abuse Education and Counseling: Health Educator visits to 7th & 8th Grade Health Classes to lead instruction in a variety of Drug Education and Awareness Programs including: CATCH My Breath - Youth E-Cigarette Prevention Program, “Too Good For Drugs,” Teen Leadership Conference, and Health/Safety Fair.
Educational Support: Incoming and outgoing Transition programs, after-school classes, parent programs, attendance issues, and basic supplies for families who
